Booking.comBoston Insider Tip: Confused by the Pavilion's Name?
If you've visited or lived in Boston for a couple of decades or more, you may remember when concerts first took place in 1994 in this big white tent on the waterfront, it was called Harbor Lights Pavilion.
Five years later, Live Nation purchased the venue and sold naming rights to Fleet Boston Financial - and not surprisingly, the name changed to FleetBoston Pavilionuntil 2004, when a bank merger caused it to be renamed Bank of America.
Flash forward to several years ago: locally owned Rockland Trust Bank based in the Hyde Park area of Boston purchased naming rights through 2023 - so this popular concert venue is now called Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion.
